What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device; local storage is a similar browser mechanism for keeping small amounts of data. Both let a site remember things between page loads — for example, that you're signed in.

How we use them

• Strictly necessary. Keeping you signed in (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase) and remembering essential preferences. The Site can't function properly without these, so they're always on.
• Your cookie choice. We store a small flag recording whether you've acknowledged our cookie notice, so we don't show it on every visit.
• Advertising (only if enabled). If ads are turned on, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies or use device identifiers to deliver and measure ads, including personalised ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites.
